The 17th Ohana Mana Cup in Cagliari

Cagliari is set to host the 17th annual Ohana Mana Cup, marking the conclusion of summer with an exhilarating ocean racing spectacle. From September 19 to 21, 2025, the stunning Gulf of Angels will provide the backdrop for this prestigious event. Races will commence from Geremeas Villaggio "Cala Serena" and conclude at Poetto, home to the Air Force beach facility. Organizers plan to fully utilize the strong scirocco winds, creating ideal conditions for challenging downwind competitions.

International Competition and Elite Athletes

This highly anticipated event is meticulously organized by the ASD Kauna Team and proudly features on the International Canoe Federation (ICF) international calendar. A diverse field of 34 athletes, representing over 10 different nations, will compete across various categories: Master, Junior, and Elite/Senior. The competition promises both thrilling action and demanding technical challenges, with races contested in the following specialized disciplines:
  • SS1 (Single Surfski)
  • SS2 (Double Surfski)
  • VR1 (Single Va'a)
  • VRE (Elite Va'a)
  • OC6 (Outrigger Canoe - Six Person)
A roster of prominent names has already confirmed their participation, including:
  • Olympic silver medalist Ádám Varga
  • Spain's Walter Bouzán Sánchez, the triumphant winner of the 2024 edition
  • The formidable Vold brothers from Norway
  • Czech Republic's rising star, Jakub Sindel

Race Schedule and Awards

The competitive action kicks off on Saturday, September 20, with the long-distance race. Paddlers will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the initial awards ceremony.
