Four ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Cups approved for 2026

The International Canoe Federation is excited to stage Canoe Ocean Racing World Cups in four fantastic locations across the globe next year. The ICF Board of Directors have agreed for World Cups to be held in Brazil, France, Malaysia and Tahiti in 2026. It is an exciting development for Canoe Ocean Racing, offering the world’s best surfski racers with an international circuit to flourish. Kuantan, Pahang in Malaysia and Molokabra in Brazil have been chosen along with Reunion and Tahiti. Dates have been confirmed for two of the four World Cups, with Tahiti playing host from August 1 to 2 followed by Reunion from November 9 to 15. “Canoe Ocean Racing is stepping into a new era,” said Marian Sarbu, Chair of the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing Committee. “These four major events that will stretch across the globe in 2026 create a circuit that promises both great opportunities for athletes and unprecedented visibility for the sport.
