Koper Cup in ocean racing and SUP scheduled for November

For all ocean racers and stand up paddlers - details of the International Cup of Koper race, downwind categories, in Slovenia next month. The race will be held within a 2-day window: Saturday, November 17, 2018, or Sunday, November 18, 2018, depending on the best downwind conditions. The exact date will be published 5 days before the race on www.kajak-zveza.si. Please note that the race may be organized in one direction or the other, depending on wind direction. Competitors will be informed about the race direction 5 days before the competition. Start or finish positions will be at KKK Žusterna or Bernardin. The second start/finish position will be in Bernardin. The start will be from the water. The regatta field is the shortest line between Žusterna and Bernardin with a length of approximately [distance missing in original text]. All types of kayak boats are allowed: Wildwater, sprint, SS1 - Men/Women (open category). All types of SUPs are allowed (open category). **Schedule:** 9:00-10:00 Registration of competitors, bib and maps delivery at Žusterna Kayak club. 11:00 Start of the competition at KKK Žusterna or Bernardin marina. 14:00 Prize giving ceremony at KKK Žusterna. All participants must declare that they are free of any physical ailments and are capable of enduring high physical demands for approximately 5 hours. Additionally, every participant must declare that they are experienced in paddling in open sea conditions. Every participant must agree to and sign the liability waiver that will be provided during registration. Safety will be guaranteed with four boats. All participants must use their own equipment, which must be in a safe and fully functional condition to ensure it does not pose a danger to either the participants or the organization.
